Role Description

We need a Construction Estimator and Project Manager to provide competitive quotes for multiple projects based on a scope of work, and then lead a team to execute the construction project based on the won bid. This scope will range in size and complexity from multi-unit housing to government call for bids. Projects to quote and execute may be based in Alberta, Saskatchewan or B.C.
Due diligence must be well executed to provide the best final quote based on sourced competitive pricing from multiple trades and vendors. You will manage these same trades and vendors to execute the bids that you win through to completion and turnover of the project to the client.
This role is a balance of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, resource management and communications.
Effectiveness will be measured on the percentage of bids won and execution proficiency projects. This will determine extension of contract terms.
Qualifications
- Competitive mindset to quote and win bids based on good working knowledge of current market rates.
- Excellent negotiation skills when sourcing quotes with trades and suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to document and communicate bid progress and construction progress.
- Minimum 2 years experience with quoting construction projects.
- Minimum 2 years experience of effective construction Project Management and project status reporting.
- Minimum 2 year experience with buying and logistics.
